Paige & Reinhardt: a proposal at the Musée Rodin in Paris

Paige was expecting a visit to the Musée Rodin. Reinhardt had planned to propose in the garden, and I was there to photograph it.

A visit to the Musée Rodin

A museum visit is an easy plan to suggest during a trip to Paris. You can explore the Musée Rodin together and spend some time in the garden without giving away the surprise.

For Paige and Reinhardt's visit in October 2026, we had agreed on the proposal spot beforehand. Reinhardt knew where to go, and I knew where to wait.

The proposal in the garden

Reinhardt proposed beside the pond in the Musée Rodin garden. Here is the moment on video, followed by the photographs.

Engagement portraits at the Musée Rodin

After the proposal, we stayed in the garden for their engagement portraits, moving between the pond, the paths and the steps outside the Musée Rodin.

There is plenty of variety here without having to go far. You don't need to know how to pose: I'll guide you as we go.

The ring

We also made a few closer photographs of Paige's ring and their hands together. There is time to pause during the session; we don't need to rush through the portraits.

From the Musée Rodin to Pont Alexandre III

For your own proposal, I recommend a two-hour session if you'd like to include Pont Alexandre III. We can start at the Musée Rodin, take portraits in the garden and walk to the bridge. The walk is included in our time together.

For me, Pont Alexandre III is the most beautiful bridge in Paris. It's a good place to finish the session, with the Seine and a view of the Eiffel Tower.

Planning a proposal at the Musée Rodin

I photograph proposals and couple sessions in the Musée Rodin garden with the museum's permission. We confirm access, choose the spot and agree on the timing before your session.

Send me your travel dates and what you have in mind. I'll help you work out the plan, including a second location if you'd like one.

I photograph the proposal digitally. Film portraits can be added afterwards if you'd like.
