# Engagement photographer in Paris

You said yes. Now take an hour or two in Paris to enjoy it. I help you choose the location, work out what to wear and feel comfortable in front of the camera, whether your wedding is here or on the other side of the world.

## An hour together, before the wedding planning takes over

An engagement session is a chance to keep something of this part: the ring still feels new, you keep saying “my fiancé”, and the wedding is somewhere ahead of you. We walk, talk and make photographs along the way.

One hour works for one neighbourhood, or two spots a short walk apart. Two hours gives us room for a longer route and a slower pace. Digital photography is the standard coverage, with medium format and 35mm film available as an add-on.

You can use the photographs for save-the-dates, your wedding website, or a print at home. You do not need to have a wedding date, or to book me for your wedding, to have this session.

## Where should we take engagement photos in Paris?

Walks along the river, stone staircases and the city reflected in the water: the most Parisian backdrop there is, and my own favourite for an engagement session.

Views of the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro and nearby streets. An early session gives us a better chance of quieter backgrounds.

Cobbled lanes, staircases and views over the rooftops. Best for a walk through a neighbourhood, with comfortable shoes for the hills.

Soft light under the chestnut trees, classical façades and quiet garden alleys in the heart of Paris.

For one hour, stay in one area. With two hours, we can link nearby locations without spending the session crossing the city.

/ What to prepare

## A location, an outfit, a plan

After booking, I send you my location guide: what each place looks like in photographs, when the light works, how busy it gets and which spots fit together on foot. Bring a place that means something to you, choose from the guide, or tell me the atmosphere you want and I will suggest a route.

You also get an outfit guide covering colour, fabric, layers and shoes for the season. Once you have a shortlist, send me photographs of the options and I will help you choose. There is practical advice you can read now in my guide to what to wear for a Paris photoshoot.

The evening before, you receive a recap with the exact meeting point, time, weather plan and my number. If something comes up before then, you can call or message me.

## Gentle direction, then room to be yourselves

We start by walking and talking. You do not need to know what to do with your hands: I give you a little direction, somewhere to walk or something to react to, then keep photographing as you settle into being together.

My years photographing people in the streets of Paris taught me to watch for the small things before they disappear. During your session that might be a hand on a shoulder, a glance at the ring, or the two of you laughing between photographs.

Your individually edited digital gallery arrives within seven days. If you add film, those photographs arrive within fifteen days, developed and scanned here in Paris. You receive full-resolution files in a private gallery, with prints available to order.

We agree on a weather plan beforehand. Cloud and light rain can work beautifully; if a real storm is forecast, we move the session.

## A familiar face on your wedding day

If I am photographing your wedding too, this is a chance to get used to each other beforehand. You find out how I give direction and what being photographed feels like. By the wedding morning, we already know each other.

The session stands on its own if your wedding is elsewhere or you have already chosen another photographer.

## Before you book

### How much does an engagement session in Paris cost?

### Should we book one hour or two?

Yes. Your gallery includes full-resolution files for save-the-dates, your wedding website and personal prints. Tell me before the session if you need a particular format or space for text, and flag your printing deadline when you enquire.

No. You can book an engagement session whatever your wedding plans and whoever is photographing it. If I am also photographing your wedding, it gives us a chance to work together before the day.

I’m Quentin, a photographer based in Paris. I have been photographing for more than fifteen years, first in the street and now with couples who want to remember how this part of life felt.

Before photography became my work, I managed productions in advertising agencies. The location guides, the recap and the planning are habits from that job: I like to settle the practical things early, so we can enjoy the session when we meet.
